MMA circuit training is a fantastic way to improve your conditioning. But not only that, it will boost your metabolism, burn a serious amount of calories and help you shed fat than you ever thought possible.
For me, the best overall conditioned athletes are pro hockey players, Olympic level gymnasts and elite MMA fighters. How many of them are fat?
Another great thing about MMA circuit training is that you don’t need a lot of room or much in the way of equipment. Knowledge of some good bodyweight exercises, maybe a kettlebell or two (or dumbbell), a barbell, a medicine ball and a jump rope will more than get the job done.
And you don’t need all of them.
If you don’t follow MMA or the UFC and aren’t familiar with Clay Guida, let me tell you that Clay is an opponents nightmare. The guy goes all out, all the time. He’s aggressive and relentless for an entire fight.
Usually, a fight has some lulls in the action so fighters can take a moment to regroup and catch their breath. Not if you’re fighting Clay Guida.
I wanted to share this short video of Clay performing some MMA circuit training using just a few bodyweight exercises and some simple kettlebell exercises as wel.
Enjoy! And remember, time and lack of space and / or equipment are never an excuse. You can get in a killer fat burning workout in just a few minutes, without any equipment at all!

Kettlebells are a great strength and conditioning exercise rolled into one. I believe it started seeing use with the Russian Special Forces so if you need proof there it is!
